Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our treatments and aftercare.

Your comfort is our priority. We use high-strength prescription topical numbing cream to help minimize discomfort during treatments. For procedures such as tattoo removal, lidocaine injections are available and can reduce discomfort by up to 97%. For more intensive treatments like Morpheus8 and Opus Plasma, nerve blocks are also available to ensure a more comfortable experience.

After getting Botox® injections, it’s recommended to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, refrain from strenuous exercise for the rest of the day, and avoid lying down for at least 4 hours after the procedure. It’s also advised to avoid alcohol, aspirin, and anti-inflammatory medications for the first 24 hours.

Some general aftercare tips include keeping the treated area clean and dry, avoiding direct sunlight exposure, moisturizing as recommended, and avoiding picking at any scabs that may form.
Swelling and bruising are common side effects after dermal filler injections, but they are usually temporary and should subside within a week or two. The severity of swelling and bruising can vary depending on individual factors such as skin sensitivity, the type of filler used, and the injection technique. Applying ice packs and following aftercare guidelines can help minimize these effects.

Both treatments improve skin texture, stimulate collagen production, and enhance overall skin quality, but they work differently.

Microneedling uses tiny sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and boosting collagen and elastin production. It is ideal for improving fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven texture with minimal downtime.

Laser skin rejuvenation uses focused light energy to target deeper layers of the skin or resurface damaged outer layers, depending on the laser type. It is often more effective for pigmentation, sun damage, wrinkles, deeper scars, and skin tightening.

Microneedling is generally gentler and safer for darker skin tones, while laser treatments can provide more dramatic resurfacing and rejuvenation results. The best option depends on your skin type, concerns, goals, and desired downtime. In many cases, combining both treatments can deliver optimal results.

After lip filler, mild swelling, tenderness, and occasional bruising are normal and typically improve within a few days. You’ll notice immediate volume, but final results settle within 1–2 weeks. Avoid touching your lips, intense exercise, alcohol, or excessive heat for 24–48 hours. Use a cold compress if needed, and wait a day before applying lip products. Stay hydrated and follow your provider’s aftercare advice. Contact them if you experience severe pain, unusual discoloration, or excessive swelling.

The skin on the neck and hands is thinner and more delicate, with less underlying tissue to support the product. Because of this, using Sculptra in these areas may increase the risk of visible nodules, uneven texture, prolonged swelling, or irregular collagen stimulation. For safety and optimal aesthetic results, other treatment options are often more suitable for the neck and hands.
